Job Description:
Prerequisites:
A relevant tertiary degree / diploma (3 year).
A Business Analysis certification.
4+ years experience as a Business Analyst.
Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to present difficult concepts in understandable terms to all levels in the organisation.
Requirements - planning and management: Gathering, Communication,Analysis, Documentation, and Implementation.

Advantageous:
Scrum or Agile certifications.
Project management experience.
Experience using Jira / Jira Agile.

PURPOSE
The Business Analyst works as a liaison among sponsors, designers, subject matter experts and developers in order to elicit, analyse, communicate, document and validate requirements for the development of new and existing applications and information systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Understanding business process management and the business requirements of the customer.
Understanding of latest technological solutions for Web, Mobile and IT at large.
Translating business requirements into specific software requirements.
Eliciting, analysing and documenting requirements
Understanding the technical designs as well as the business specifications.
Evaluating the information gathered through workshops, task analysis, business process descriptions and diagrams.
Effectively communicating with internal teams and external customers to gather, analyse and document requirements (i.e., use cases, business requirements, user requirements, functional specification, non-functional requirements, transition plans.)
Acting as an interface between customers / sponsors, technology teams and support teams.
Performing within a Scrum Master role on projects where not fulfilling a Business Analyst role.

Key Outputs:
Documentation of user requirements.
Functional specification documentation.
Documentation of use cases for quality control and user acceptance testing.
Successful implementation of project proposals and deliverables.
Facilitating development teams as Scrum Master and assisting with the adoption of scrum and agile methodologies.
